Study on the Impact of Road Filling on the Pile Foundation of Expressway Bridge
In order to study the stress and deformation of adjacent pile foundations during different construction stages caused by road filling,a three-dimensional finite element model was established using the large-scale finite element calculation software Midas/GTSNX with two roads adjacent to a highway bridge as the engineering background. The dynamic construction process of road filling was numerically simulated. The results showed that the impact of road filling and vehicle loads on the bridge piers was relatively small, and after completion,it did not endanger the structural safety of adjacent bridge piers or affect their normal operation.Based on the monitoring results after the filling of the Baotong access road, the internal forces and displacements of the pile foundation and pier columns were back calculated. The pile top did not crack, but the deformation of the pier top was significant. It is necessary to reinforce the foundation of the Baotong access road.
