With the acceleration of urbanization and the increasingly serious problem of traffic congestion,rail transit,as an efficient and environmentally friendly mode of public transport,plays an important role in alleviating urban traffic pressure and promoting urban sustainable development.In this paper,we took the research papers related to"Rail Transit Planning"in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)literature database from 2004 to 2024 as the object,and used Cite Space bibliometric software to conduct visual analysis.Through the current amount of publications,authors,institutions,research hotspots and frontiers of research on rail transit planning,we analyzed the current research status,explored its future development trends,and finally put forward relevant research prospects.
