Developmental Characteristics,Influencing Factors and Cultivation Strategies of National Identity of Contemporary Secondary School Students:An Empirical Survey Based on 1,725 Students Across China
The development and cultivation of secondary school students'national identity is related to the formation of their own personality and the construction of national order.A survey and analysis of 1,725 secondary school students across China found that secondary school students in China general-ly have a high level of national identity,but their institutional identity needs to be further improved.There are significant differences in the national identity of secondary school students in terms of gender,grade,household registration,class position,and school location.English achievement,subjective well-being and socio-emotional competence are the key factors influencing the development of national identity among secondary school students.The cultivation of national identity of secondary school students can be promoted by deepening the education of institutional identity and giving full play to the advantages of English teaching;grasping the differences in individual development and tailoring the teaching to the individual's needs;and improving the subjective sense of well-being and developing social-emotional competence.
