Calculation of motion response of large LNG powered ship tank under swaying coupling
Due to the large amount of LNG loaded by LNG powered ships,the liquid cargo loading tank is huge in volume and weight.Therefore,the influence of liquefied cargo in the tank on hull motion and hydrodynamic power cannot be ignored.Based on the theory of potential flow,this paper studies the hydrodynamic calculation of an LNG powered ship with a type C liquid cargo tank by using three-dimensional method.The ship's motion is calculated and predicted,and the in-fluence of swaying on the ship's motion response is analyzed and compared.
