Numerical research and improvement measures on turning performance of an ocean survey ship based on self-propelled model
This paper aims at the problem of excessive slant angle of an ocean survey ship during sea trial.The numeric-al simulation technology based on RANS equation combined with the self-propelled model was used to simulate its turning performance.The prediction results of its gyration performance were obtained.In order to reduce the ship's roll angle during turning,We improved the design of the wooden bottom,and the ship's turning roll after the improved wooden design is ob-tained,through comparative analysis,we know that the improved scheme can effectively reduce the roll angle during the rotary process,the problem of too much roll angle during turning is avoided which can provide technical support for the smooth delivery of the ship.
