Structural analysis and optimization of MARK Ⅲ membrane LNG carrier based on regression algorithm
The structural design of the cargo hold of China's first MARK Ⅲ membrane type LNG carrier(LNG JUMBO)was analyzed using the Nauticus Hull and Sesam software developed by the Norwegian classification society DNV.The finite element analysis of the cargo hold structure was conducted by simulating the loading condition of the target cargo.The yield and buckling strength of the major components inside the cargo hold were checked.Using the submodel technique,the structural strength of the high-stress points in critical areas was evaluated.Additionally,a linear iterative re-gression algorithm for efficiently calculating stress values at different strong frame positions of the same location was pro-posed,providing a new approach for structural optimization and product lightweighting.
