Research on mechanical properties of NPR steel under dynamic impact load
In order to study the mechanical properties of NPR steel under dynamic impact load,dynamic tensile and dy-namic compression tests were carried out on the separated Hopkinson bar device.Through the tests,the deformation mechan-ism,failure mode and stress-strain relationship of the material under different strain rates were obtained.The experimental results were compared with 921A steel,and the mechanical properties of the two materials were analyzed.The results show that NPR steel has great ultimate strength and fracture strain under quasi-static load.Under dynamic impact load,the yield strength and ultimate strength of NPR new material steel increase with the increase of strain rate,showing a strong strain rate effect,and at high strain rate,the strain rate strengthening effect of NPR new material steel is more significant,with better static and dynamic mechanical properties.
