A risk model for ship collisions at sea based on spatiotemporal trajectory data
To avoid the collision phenomenon that ships may encounter,a collision risk model for maritime ships based on spatiotemporal trajectory data is proposed.Based on the information provided by AIS(Automatic Ship Identification Sys-tem),the least squares method is used to collect effective ship navigation trajectory points from a massive amount of AIS in-formation.Based on the extracted data, ship encounter recognition is achieved at sea.Combined with the identified ship en-counter situation, four parameters are selected:the minimum encounter distance, the shortest encounter time, the distance between the target ship and the ship speed ratio,to complete the construction of a ship collision risk model at sea.The experi-mental results show that the model can recognize various ship encounter scenarios and accurately judge the danger level of ships when they encounter, avoiding dangerous ships.
