A in-situ calibration method for sensitivity of cylindrical sonar array elements
Aiming at the problem that after the sonar array is installed on a real ship, the array element receiving per-formance is affected by the internal sound scattering interference at the bow end and the difference in sound transmission performance of the dome, and the actual receiving performance is difficult to calibrate accurately,an in-situ calibration meth-od of cylindrical sonar array elements sensitivity based on the standard water sound source comparison method is proposed.Firstly, the calibration principle and the involved arc distance correction method and cyclic superposition average method were described and analyzed.A cylindrical sonar was used as the object to design and carry out a verification test on the lake. The test data were calculated and analyzed, the results show that the standard water sound source comparison method can ac-curately obtain the receiving sensitivity performance of sonar array elements and the sensitivity consistency between the ar-ray elements. The research work can provide an idea for performance calibration of sonar equipment after the actual ship is delivered, and improve the measurement support capabilities of sonar equipment.
