Design and testing of the wave-proof exhaust device
In order to prevent seawater entering into the exhaust pipe of the unmanned surface vehicle,a wave-proof exhaust device installed on the top of the exhaust port was designed.Its mechanical structure and action principle were sum-marized briefly.The mathematical models of flap rotation and floater buoyancy were established.Its seal of the shell,the wa-ter leakage rate under water and the exhaust performance of the maximum power diesel engine were tested.The test results showed that the float moved up and down flexibly under water and the maximal water leakage ratio was 2 L/min,meeting the design target,and laying a foundation for the further study.
