Impact of Non-genetic Factors on DHI Determining Index of Chinese Holstein Cows
To analyze the impact of non-genetic factors on milk fat percentage, milk protein percentage, somatic cell score (SCS) and daily milk yield of the Chinese Holstein cows,25950 DHI test data and the cow records from Xinjiang Tianshan Animal Husbandry Bio-Engineering Co.Ltd.and 9052 DHI records and cow records from Xinjiang Urumqi cattle farm were collected for a least-squares analysis of variance using SAS8.1.The results showed that year and season had highly significant effect on daily milk yield, milk fat percentage, milk protein percentage, somatic cell score (P<0.01);and parity had significant effect on daily milk yield, milk protein percentage, somatic cell score (P<0.01).The results suggested that analysis of DHI can help explore the main factors affecting the daily milk yield, milk fat percentage, milk protein content and somatic cell score so as to improve feeding management, group milk production, prevent and reduce the occurrence of mastitis.
