Oestrus detection is a key part of sow reproduction management,and its efficiency and accu-racy directly affect the reproductive performance of sows and the economic benefits of farms.The article reviews the methods of sow oestrus monitoring at home and abroad,specifically elaborating the current situation of research and application of digital monitoring system for sow oestrus.It also predicts the sub-sequent research directions of sow oestrus detection technology,in order to provide reference for timely and accurate detection of sow oestrus.
