Research Status and Development Trend of Control Strategy of Rotary Percussion Drilling System
In deep and ultra-deep well drilling,the problems of low drilling efficiency and high cost in deep hard rock formations are long-term difficulties.Laudably,the rotary percussion drilling technology possesses several advantages such as high efficiency of rock breaking,reduction of stick-slip vibration,and high transmission efficiency of drilling pressure.Hence,it has gradually been applied in deep resource exploration and mining,emergency drilling rescue,drilling engineering construction and other fields.The rotary percussion drilling technology shows broad application prospects.However,the rotary percussion drilling system has the characteristics of strong coupling,high nonlinearity,time-varying parameters,variable load conditions,and multi-source power coordination.The ideal control effects are difficult to achieve with conventional control methods.In order to improve the reliability and intelligence level of high-end drilling equipment in deep and ultra-deep well drilling,the research of the control strategy of the drilling system has great theoretical re-search value and practical engineering significance.The composition structure and functions of the rotary percussion drilling system were introduced.From the perspectives of drilling speed,drilling pressure and drilling trajectory control,the research results of domestic and foreign research institutions and scholars in recent years were reviewed.Finally,the future development trends of the control strategy of rotary percussion drilling system were analyzed and prospected.
