Numerical Simulation and Testing of the Turning of Cast Aluminium Alloy Spiral Spring Drums
In order to study the spiral drum turning technology,single factor test,three factor and four horizontal orthogonal test methods were used to carry out finite element simulation,and range analysis method was used to analyze the influence law of the main geometric angle of the tool on the cutting force and the temperature of the tool tip.The simulation results were verified by cutting and machining experiments.The results show that the cutting performance is better when the front angle of the tool is 4°,the back angle is 12° and the radius of the tool tip is 0.6 mm.Therefore,the finite element simulation software can better reflect the actual machining process and can provide a reliable basis for tool parameter optimization.
