Abstract
The demonstrative pronouns of the Shizhuang dialect in the east of Qinshui County are a binary system of"this/that",which can refer to people,things,places,directions,time,quantity,ways and degrees.In terms of word formation features,different grammatical functions are often represented by adding suffix components.In Shizhuang dialect,there is still a phenomenon of overlapping demonstrative pronouns,which take the form of"this1 this2"and"that1 that2".
