Correlation between serum EG-VEGF,NLR,and PLR expression and disease severity in pregnant women with preeclampsia based on ROC curve analysis
Objective Correlation of serum endocrine gland-derived vascular endothelial growth factor(EG-VEGF),neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio(NLR),platelet/lymphocyte ratio(PLR)expression and disease severity in pregnant women with preeclampsia by application of subject operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis. Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 90 pregnant women who underwent obstetric examination in our hospital from October 2021 to March 2023,and grouped them according to whether they suffered from preeclampsia or not;30 healthy and normal pregnant women were included in the control group, and 60 pregnant women diagnosed with preeclampsia were included in the observation group, and the observation group was divided into a mild group(n=30)and a severe group(n=30)according to the severity of preeclampsia, and the expression levels of serum EG-VEGF,NLR,and PLR in the control group and the observation group were compared with the mild and severe groups. We compared the expression levels of serum EG-VEGF,NLR,and PLR in the control group and the observation group, and the mild group and the severe group, and analyzed the efficacy of serum EG-VEGF,NLR,and PLR in diagnosing preeclampsia and evaluating the severity of the disease by applying the ROC curve. Results Serum EG-VEGF and NLR in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and PLR in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(t= 7.237,5.010,3.613,P<0.05),and ROC curve analysis showed that serum EG-VEGF,NLR and PLR were effective in diagnosing preeclampsia(P<0.05).Serum EG-VEGF and NLR in severe group were higher than those in mild group, and PLR in severe group was lower than that in mild group(t=2.223,2.171,2.047,P<0.05),and ROC curve analysis showed that serum EG-VEGF,NLR and PLR were effective in evaluating the severity of preeclampsia(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum EG-VEGF and NLR are highly expressed in preeclampsia pregnant women, while PLR is at a low level. The serum EG-VEGF and NLR are higher and PLR is lower in pregnant women with more severe disease. Moreover, serum EG-VEGF,NLR and PLR are effective in the diagnosis and evaluation of preeclampsia and the severity of the disease by ROC analysis.
