Clinical study of Qiju Runmu granules combined with diclofenac sodium eye drops in the treatment of dry eye syndrome
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Qiju Runmu granules combined with diclofenac sodium eye drops in the treatment of dry eye syndrome. Methods 94 dry eye patients from our hospital from December 2021 to January 2023 were collected as the study subjects.Patients were randomly assigned to either the observation group(n=47)or the control group(n=47)using a random number table method. The control group received treatement with diclofenac sodium eye drops, while the observation group received Qiju Runmu granules in addition to the control group. The therapeutic effects, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores such as dry eyes, redness, pain, foreign body sensation, blurred vision, tear film rupture time(BUT),tear secretion(SIT),and changes in corneal fluorescence staining were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group(72.34%,34/47),the total effective rate of the observation group after treatment(89.36%,42/47)was obviously increased(χ2=4.398,P=0.036);compared with before treatment, the scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptom, including dry, reddish, painful, foreign body sensation, blurred vision, and the corneal fluorescence staining, the levels of TGF-β1,and TNF-α in the observation group and control group after treatment obviously decreased,BUT and SIT obviously increased, after treatment, compared with the control group, the scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptom, including dry, reddish, painful, foreign body sensation, blurred vision, and the corneal fluorescence staining, the levels of TGF-β1,and TNF-α in the observation group obviously decreased,BUT and SIT obviously increased(t=9.351,9.677,8.350,6.785,4.744,6.787,5.329,4.783,3.074,2.926,P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Qiju Runmu granules and diclofenac sodium eye drops has a obvious effect in the treatment of dry eye syndrome, which can promote the secretion of tears in patients and improve their eye symptoms.
