Ultrasound-guided minimally invasive rotary resection and small incision breast nodule resection for benign breast tumors and their effects on pain degree, immune function and stress degree
Objective To explore the effects of ultrasound-guided minimally invasive rotary resection and small incision breast nodule resection on benign breast tumors, focusing on their impact on pain levels, immune function and stress responses. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 92 patients newly diagnosed with benign breast tumors at Lujiang County Hospital of TCM from February 2020 to May 2023.According to different surgical method, the patients were divided into minimally invasive rotary resection group and nodular resection group, with 46 patients in each group.Patients in the minimally invasive rotary cutting group were treated with ultrasound-guided minimally invasive rotary cutting, and patients in the nodule resection group were treated with small incision breast nodule resection. The surgical indexes, pain degree, stress response, immune function, complications, and breast aesthetics were observed and compared between the two groups after operation. Results Intraoperative blood loss and visual analog scale(VAS)score were significantly lower in the minimally invasive rotary resection group compared to the nodular resection group, and the operation time was shorter in the former(t=12.960,5.072,4.099,P<0.05).The levels of epinephrine(E),norepinephrine(NE)and cortisol(Cor)in the minimally invasive rotary resection group were lower than those in the nodular resection group(t=4.209,2.763,31.856,P<0.05).The lymphocyte subsets CD4+,CD3+and CD4+/CD8+were higher than those in the nodular resection group(t=10.329,6.639,18.507,P<0.05).And the total incidence of complications was lower than that in the nodular resection group. The excellent and good rate of breast aesthetics was higher than that of the nodule resection group, and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=7.256,9.583,P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound-guided minimally invasive rotary resection proves to be a safe and effective treatment for benign breast tumors. It offers reduced trauma, fewer complications and milder pain, thereby minimizing the body's stress response and preserving immune function. Moreover,it contributes to improving the beauty of the breast.
