Analysis of self-management efficacy factors in patients with lung cancer chemotherapy and its correlation with cancer-related fatigue
Objective To explore the factors of self-management efficacy in patients with lung cancer chemotherapy and its correlation with cancer-related fatigue. Methods A total of 160 patients with lung cancer chemotherapy admitted to the Department of Oncology,Huai'an First People's Hospital from March 2020 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Cancer self-management efficacy scale(SUPHH)and Piper fatigue scale(PFS)were used to evaluate the relationship between SUPHH score,PFS score and clinical data of patients.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the related influencing factors.Pearson method was used to analyze the correlation between self-management efficacy and cancer-related fatigue. Results The average SUPHH score of 160 patients with lung cancer chemotherapy was(64.98±5.14),and the average PFS score was(4.63±2.04).According to Logistic regression analysis,age(≥60 years old),education level(high school and below),number of chemotherapy(≥3 times),and payment method(at their own expense)were independent risk factors for self-management efficacy(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that self-decompression and positive attitude were positively correlated with the feeling and cognition of cancer-related fatigue scale(P<0.05).Conclusion Age(≥60 years old),education level(high school and below),number of chemotherapy(≥3 times),and payment method(at their own expense)are independent risk factors for self-management efficacy. There is a certain positive correlation between self-management efficacy and cancer-related fatigue in patients with lung cancer chemotherapy. The degree of self-management efficacy, such as guiding self-decompression and improving positive attitudes, can reduce the degree of cancer-related fatigue.
