Objective To explore the applications of the informatized platform for clinical experi-ments in the management of drugs under clinical trials in a hospital.Methods An digitalized management module for drugs under clinical trials was developed to standardize the control over pharmaceuticals.A retrospective analysis method was adopted to compare the time taken by drug dispensation before and after the application of the platform.Five hundred and sixty-five prescriptions given before the platform was used and another 621 ones given after the operation of the platform were randomly selected to find out about the percentage of substandard prescriptions.Results After the application of the platform,the aver-age time taken to fill one prescription was shortened from 19 minutes to 6 minutes,and the proportion of imperfect prescriptions decreased from 14％to 1.3％(x2=16.999,P＜0.01).Conclusion Informationiza-tion of the management of drugs under clinical trials can improve work efficiency,reduce errors and enhance the overall level of management.
