Recent Progress in Nanotherapies for Targeted Treatment of Radiation-Induced Lung Injury
The development of high-tech weapons and equipment has improved the combat effective-ness and competitiveness of the military, but it has also generated high-intensity electromagnetic radiation in related military operational environments.Long-term exposure to electromagnetic radiation can cause radiation-induced lung injury(RILI),posing a severe hazard to the health and quality of life of military personnel. However, there are no effective treatment options to protect the lung health of military person-nel.In recent years, there has been increasing evidence that nanotherapies are promising for the prevention and treatment of RILI as evidenced by their multiple advantages, including good safety, excellent targeting ability and prolonged circulation time in vivo.In this review, the applications of nanotherapies in the treat-ment of RILI are summarized.
