Data Elements,Industry Competition,and the Quality of Enterprise Supply Chains
s:The rapid advancement of data technology has increasingly heightened the significance of data elements in the development of conventional businesses.However,the existing empirical research on data elements is relatively limited.This study examines the impact of data elements on the quality of enterprise supply chains by analyzing publicly listed manu-facturing companies from 2011 to 2022.It also investigates the moderating effect of industry market competition.The empir-ical findings reveal a positive correlation between data elements and the quality of enterprise supply chains,demonstrated by the enhancement of supply chain diversification and efficiency.Notably,the promotion of upstream supply chain diversifica-tion exhibits a more substantial influence compared to that of downstream supply chains.Moreover,in industries character-ized by more intensified market competition,the constructive impact of data elements on the quality of enterprise supply chains is more pronounced.Mechanism examination suggests that data elements primarily contribute to the improvement of supply chain quality in manufacturing enterprises by boosting sales from long-tail customers and bolstering product competi-tiveness.Based on this,in order to improve the quality of enterprise supply chain,it is necessary to accelerate the development and utilization of data elemnts,improve the coordination between data elements and technological innovation,promote fair competition and assist enterprises in accelerating digital transformation.
