The Impact of Digital Economic Development on Improving Employment Quality in China
Adequate and high-quality employment contributes to elevating people's well-being.With technological advancements,the development level of digital economic has been continuously rising,leading to changes in employment quality.This paper calculates the development level the digital economy at the provincial level in China and,in conjunction with microdata from the CFPS(China Family Panel Studies),computes a comprehensive employment quality index to analyze the impact of the digital economy on employment quality.The study reveals that the digital economy promotes laborers'em-ployment quality,albeit with heterogeneity.Furthermore,the use of digital technology constitutes an intrinsic mechanism through which the digital economy influences employment quality.Based on these findings,promoting high-quality employ-ment should leverage the driving role of the digital economy,strengthen digital education for laborers,and guide the coordi-nated development of the digital economy and urban-rural employment.
