Evaluation and Optimization of the Yangtze River Dry Bulk Freight Index
The Yangtze River Dry Bulk Freight Index is one of the important observation indicators for monitoring the supply-demand balance relationship in the waterway transportation market.Evaluating and optimizing the index is conducive to better playing its economic monitoring role.Based on historical datas of dry bulk freight rates,using SPSS software and sta-tistical index theory,the unbiasedness,consistency and effectiveness of the index are evaluated quantitatively.The results indi-cate that there are some problems with the sample representativeness and index structure of the dry bulk freight index,and cor-responding optimization suggestions are proposed based on the evaluation results,which can provide the reference for improv-ing the quality level of the index and promoting the high-quality development of Yangtze River shipping.
