Tracing the Shape and Meaning of the Character'Price'
China was the first country in the world to use currency and the earliest to see price phenomena.As early as the Shang Dynasty,it had already used seashells as currency and measured prices based on currency.On the basis of inheriting the research results of predecessors,this article attempts to deduce the origin of the shape and meaning of the character"jia"(Ji-a),as well as to verify other Chinese words that represent price before the character"jia"(Jia),in order to reveal the origin of the Chinese character"jia"and further understand the earliest history of price development and traditional Chinese civilization,and better enhance national confidence.
