Data trading platform is one of the key entities in advancing the market-oriented allocation of data elements.Exploring the pathways to improve the regulation of data trading platforms can guide and regulate their development, thereby providing support for the market-oriented allocation of data elements.Against the backdrop of market-oriented allocation of data elements, this paper explores the significant practical implications of data trading platforms and further points out that the regulation of data trading platforms should meet both normative and incentive requirements, revealing the current regulatory challenges. The study suggests that the existing regulatory model needs improvement in terms of regulatory basis, regulatory entities, and regulatory objects, while paying insufficient attention to the incentive aspects of regulation.Based on this,it is necessary to supplement the institutional basis for regulating data trading platforms, improve the entry regulation system and price regulation system for data trading platforms;Delineate the structural elements of data trading platform regulation, clarify the dual regulatory entities of government and data trading platforms, and incorporate all platforms into the regulatory per-spective to build a comprehensive regulatory framework;Innovative regulatory measures for data trading platforms should be adopted, utilizing fault-tolerant regulatory methods and regulatory sandbox tools.
