Import expansion,consumer demand and the upgrading of industrial structure
Import is the meeting point of domestic and international dual circulation,and expanding import will help consolidate the industrial foundation of the new development pattern.Based on the provincial panel data from 2013 to 2021,and on the basis of theoretical analysis,this paper empirically tests the internal relationship between import expansion,consumer demand and the upgrading of industrial structure.The results show that on the whole,the import expansion strategy can significantly promote the upgrading of industrial structure,and the research conclusion is relatively stable;From the perspective of economic development and scientific and techno-logical innovation,expanding import only has a significant impact on the upgrading of industrial structure in re-gions with high economic development and strong scientific and technological development;Optimizing con-sumption structure and expanding consumption scale are important ways to promote the upgrading of industrial structure;After further testing the regulation effect,it is found that financial development has a positive regulation effect in the process of expanding imports to boost the upgrading of industrial structure,and has a stronger regu-lation effect on regions with higher levels of economic development and regions with lower levels of scientific and technological development.According to the research conclusion,this paper puts forward relevant countermea-sures and suggestions.
