The influence and mechanism of industrial intelligent transformation on embodied carbon in export
The transformation of industrial intelligence is promoting a new round of green trade revolution.Based on the data of manufacturing industries in various countries,this paper explores the influence and mechanism of industrial intelligent transformation on embodied carbon in export.The results show that the transformation of industrial intelligence can significantly reduce the embodied carbon intensity in export;Further mechanism tests show that the transformation of industrial intelligence mainly affects the embodied carbon intensity in export through three channels:scale effect,technology effect and value chain division of labor effect.Moreover,the mechanism of industrial intelligence transformation on the embodied carbon in export through scale effect shows an inverted U-shape.The results of heterogeneity testing by industry and region indicate that the improvement of intelligence level in medium and low-tech manufacturing and high energy consuming manufacturing industries has a more significant effect on reducing embodied carbon emissions in exports;Compared to developed coun-tries,developing countries are limited by the stage of industrial intelligence development and trade development goals,and their impact on the embodied carbon emission in export is not significant.The research has important theoretical and practical significance for China to make full use of industrial intelligent transformation to promote high-quality sustainable development of foreign trade and achieve the dual carbon goals.
