Research on the mechanism and effect of high-quality development of China's tradeempowered by digital economy
Based on the new stage of development,the development of digital economy,especially digital trade,will become an important measure and key task for China to build a major trading nation.Based on the systematic analysis of China's inter-provincial panel data from 2010 to 2021,this paper studies and verifies the impact of digital economy on high-quality trade development and its internal mechanism.The results show that the devel-opment of the digital economy has significantly improved the high-quality development of China's trade,and this conclusion remains valid after a series of robustness tests.The mechanism analysis further reveals that the in-ternal mechanism of digital economy for the high-quality development of trade mainly depends on the increase of innovation output and the strengthening of industrial agglomeration.In-depth research has found that the de-velopment of digital economy plays a more significant role in promoting high-quality trade development in the border areas and regions with lower levels of industrial structure upgrading.
