he impact of vertical deepening of free trade agreements on China's export commodity structure——Natural experiment based on the upgrading of CAFTA
The vertical deepening of free trade agreements is an important part of China's strategy to promote the upgrading of free trade areas,and it is of great significance to clarify its impact on the optimization of the structure of export commodities to achieve high-quality development of export trade.Based on the perspective of up-grading of China-Asean Free Trade Area,this paper studies the impact of vertical deepening of free trade agree-ment on China's export commodity structure by using the difference-in-differences method.The results show that the vertical deepening of free trade agreements has a significant positive effect on optimizing China's export commodity structure,and this positive effect is more prominent in the basic manufacturing industry.;The vertical deepening of free trade agreements has significantly promoted the optimization of export commodity structure through value chain integration effects,foreign investment incentive effects,and production efficiency promotion effects.Based on this,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions such as continuously promoting the vertical deepening of FTA,expanding the global network of high standard free trade areas,smooth the vertical deepening of FTA to promote the optimization of export commodity structure,and promote the deep integration of equipment manufacturing industry into the free trade area market.
