Research on marginal emission reduction cost of com-mercial public buildings based on shadow pricing method
Promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction in public buildings is of great significance for achieving the"dual carbon"goals. At present, the carbon trading market has limited attraction and small trading volume for public buildings, and its role in promoting emissions reduction in public buildings is limited. This pa-per studies the marginal emission reduction cost of commercial public buildings from the perspective of carbon emission right value.Focusing on the commercial public buildings of wholesale and retail, accommodation and catering with the nature of business, this paper constructs a shadow price model with carbon dioxide emission as the non-expected output, and performs parametric solutions. The empirical results show that the marginal emis-sion reduction cost of commercial public buildings from 2013 to 2022 was about 4800 to 10900 yuan per ton,and the emission reduction cost was rising in the fluctuation, leading to increased economic pressure on emission re-duction.The marginal cost of emission reduction was much higher than the existing carbon market transaction price, which posed a significant obstacle for commercial public building entities to actively participate in carbon trading. The joint analysis of emission reduction costs and energy efficiency in different regions showed that there were differences in the eastern, central, and western economic regions.Relevant departments should combine shadow prices and market prices in various regions, formulate reasonable pricing and regulatory policies encourage commercial public building entities to actively participate in carbon trading,so as to promote energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry.
