Mechanism and path of innovation infrastructure con-struction to enhance the technological complexity of manufacturing export
Innovation infrastructure construction is a"booster"for the transformation and upgrading of the manu-facturing industry,and it is also a strong support for China to enhance the technological complexity of export.This paper theoretically explains the impact of innovation infrastructure construction on improving the the tech-nological complexity of manufacturing export,and empirically tests its mechanism and path by taking the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2022 as samples.The conclusions are as follows:Innovation infra-structure construction can improve the technological complexity of manufacturing export through technology spillover effects and competition effects,which is still valid after multiple robustness tests;The results of the in-dustry heterogeneity test show that compared to the medium and low-end technology manufacturing industry,the improvement of export technology complexity of high-end technology manufacturing industry is more sig-nificantly affected by innovation infrastructure construction;The results of intermediary effect show that innova-tion infrastructure construction can improve the technological complexity of manufacturing export by promoting technological innovation and virtual agglomeration.
