A Case of Giant Retroperitoneal Paraganglioma and Literature Review
Objective To explore the clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment method, and prognosis of paraganglioma(PGL).Methods By analyzing the clinical data of a patient with PGL,the domestic and foreign literature on the diagnosis and treatment of PGL and prognosis was referred for further summary. Results This patient perfect the relevant examination after admission, and retroperitoneal tumor resection after perfect preoperative preparation. The postoperative diagnosis was PGL.After postoperative recovery, the patient was discharged and followed up.Conclusion PGL is a clinically rare neuroendocrine tumor with malignant potential, can occur in many parts of the body, and clinical manifestations lack specificity, which brings some difficulties to clinical diagnosis and treatment.Surgical resection is still the main treatment for PGL,but there is a possibility of recurrence and metastasis, and the size of the tumor is closely related to prognosis.
