A group of Jin-style bronze artifacts were unearthed from the tomb M2 at Jiuliandun in Hubei Province. Some scholars suggest that these artifacts were produced in present-day Shanxi or the loess region of northern China.By investigating the shape and form, decorative patterns, and manufac-ture of the Jin-style bronze artifacts,we propose that this sample of bronze artifacts was technologically more similar to the Chu-style bronze artifacts than to the Jin-style ones.We are inclined to believe that these artifacts were manufactured by the craftsmen who mastered the production of Chu-style bronze ar-tifacts.
