The prescriptions of Xiao Dan(weight loss type diabetes)on bamboo slips of the Qin Dy-nasty unearthed from Liye can be used to cross-check with the medical bamboo slips unearthed from Tianhui.Based on the prescriptions named Xiao Dan(diabetes in an ancient book)and Nei Xiao(dia-betes in an ancient book),this study presents supplementary explanations of the characters on No.9-244 bamboo slips of Liye.Furthermore,we compared the unearthed records of Xiao Dan with those in medi-cal books to understand how the treatment of such diseases developed in early Chinese medicine.
