Ten Southern Dynasties pictorial brick tombs have been excavated in the Xiangyang re-gion.This article establishes a preliminary chronological sequence of Southern Dynasties pictorial brick tombs in the upper and middle reaches of the Han River by analyzing the form,tomb bricks,and associ-ated grave goods of these tombs to determine their approximate dates.
