In 2020,a collection of ceramic artifacts was unearthed from Qu Qing and his wife's tomb of the Sui Dynasty in Anyang of Henan Province. This study used an X-ray fluorescence spec-trometer,scanning electron microscope, and X-ray diffractometer to determine the chemical and mineral compositions of ceramic products unearthed from the tomb.Additionally,a dilatometer was used to de-termine the firing temperature of some ceramic products. The analysis revealed that some ceramic arti-facts were fired around 1200 ° C,meeting the standards for ancient high-temperature porcelain.Lead-containing phases were found in the body of some ceramic samples, indicating significant fluctua-tions in the raw material processing technology of kaolin clay-based ceramic products in the northern region, possibly indicating a stage of technological exploration.
