In September 2011,the Nanyang Institute of Cultural Relics Conservation and Archaeol-ogy conducted surveys and excavations in the Nandu Lingyu Community, uncovering 61 tombs dating from the Spring and Autumn period to the Han dynasty.Among these,M13 is well-preserved and dated to the late Spring and Autumn period based on the tomb layout and excavated artifacts. The excavated bronze ding-tripod,fu-square container, and yufou-bath vessels are typical of the Chu-style bronzes while bronze he-wine vessel shows characteristics of the Central Plains. The findings from M13 offer new materials for studying burial customs and cultural communications in the Nanyang region during the Spring and Autumn period.
