M89 excavated from Tiesan Road at Yin Ruins is a tomb of a small nobleman of the low rank with a set of bronze gu-goblets and jue-cups,while was buried with a lot of high-standard jade arti-facts.There was a serious imbalance between the bronze and jade artifacts in the tomb.The tomb is buried with some semi-finished and defective jade or stone tools and jade-making tools.This phe-nomenon indicates that the occupation of the tomb owner was closely related to the jade handicraft in-dustry.The bronze inscription()、(),is the name of his clan or official,which also show that the de-ceased's occupation was related to jade production.Oracle bone inscriptions and bronze inscriptions in-dicate that there were officials,"Yugu,"in charge of jade sales during the Shang Dynasty.The bronze inscription()of the tomb combines jade and road to form characters,possibly suggesting that the tomb's owner might have been involved in long-distance trade of jade artifacts.
