This paper interprets the inscriptions on the bronze treasure you-Wine Vessel of (条) of Shang Dynasty currently housed in the Hakutsuru Fine Art Museum in Kobe,Japan.The author points out that the word"yiren"in the inscriptions is related to the system of enslaving people of the Shang,and the word"wang"does not refer to the act of overlooking at the enemy,but rather to issues such as challenging before a battle.
