The Liudun site in Feidong contains remains from the Xia and Shang periods, including ash pits and postholes. The cultural artifacts are predominantly pottery, with a small number of stone tools. The pottery assemblage primarily consists of ding-tripods,guan-jars,pen-basins,gang-vats and dou-stemmed bowls. The cultural remains at the Liudun site date no earlier than the fourth phase of the Erlitou culture and may extend into the early Shang period. The cultural characteristics of these remains are closely related to those of the contemporaneous Sanguanmiao site, primarily reflecting local cultural traits with some influences from the Erligang culture.
