Water supply is one of the most basic needs in human society,and the sustainability of water supply is crucial to social development.With the rapid development of the economy and the advancement of the urbanization process,water supply assurance faces many challenges.The cost estimation and cost control of water supply assurance projects directly impact the feasibility and sustainability of water supply projects,and relevant research has become a focal point in this field.The research showed that reasonable planning,detailed budgeting,competitive bidding and effective management were key factors in ensuring that projects were completed within the budget.In the operation and maintenance phase,equipment maintenance of water saving awareness promotion,staffing optimization,and sound financial management were the key elements to reduce operating costs and improve efficiency.
