Multi-objective integrated planning and design approach for the Guishan-Chaohu sluice section in Chaohu City
To promote the coordinated management of flood control, ecology, and landscape in urban inland lakes, fully explore the riverside space of urban inland lakes, and enhance landscape quality, the Guishan-Chaohu sluice section project in Chaohu City,as part of the ecological restoration project around Chaohu Lake, serves as an example. From the perspectives of water conservancy, ecology, and landscape, and in conjunction with regional planning,a multi-objective integrated planning and de-sign approach has been developed. This approach addresses flood control, drainage, ecology, and landscape, ensuring flood safety while beautifying the urban waterfront ecological environment. It provides a new design concept and approach for the management of urban inland lakes.
