Optimization of flow dissipation structure under constrained span conditions
To prevent erosion and damage to the downstream right bank access road and slope due to flood discharge, the spill-way chute of the new Bainianshan Reservoir adopts a continuous flow dissipation structure.By analyzing factors such as the nose angle, crest elevation, and their impact on the span, and comparing different methods based on calculation results, the spillway chute flow dissipation structure was adjusted to include a nose radius of 11.0 meters, crest elevation of 288.50 meters, and an angle of 20°.Additionally,downstream reinforced concrete aprons were added to effectively reduce erosion damage. This design can serve as a reference for similar projects in the future.
