Study on the variation of short-duration rainfall intensity and rainfall pattern in Hefei City
The objective of this study is to reveal the variation law of short-duration rainstorm intensity in Hefei City,and to compare the differences in the design rainstorm amount and design rainstorm process of the rainstorm intensity formula derived from the rainstorm data in different periods.Based on the minute-by-minute rainfall data of Dongpu station of the national ba-sic hydrological station from 1965-2020,the annual maximum value method was used to select rainstorm samples,comparing the design rainfall of each duration and each return period calculated according to the rainstorm intensity formula of four dif-ferent periods in Hefei;the Chicago rainfall pattern was used for temporal allocation of the design rainfall.The result showed that:1)After 1991,the intensity of 45~180 min rainstorm in Hefei had increased significantly.2)The results of rainstorm in-tensity in different periods and durations by different formulas were significantly different.Especially in the past 10 years,the tendency of increasing at the beginning and decreasing in late was obvious.3)The design rainstorm process peak of the Chica-go rainfall pattern was about 70 min.The overall rainstorm intensity in Hefei showed a gradual increasing tendency.The design rainstorm process based on the Chicago rainfall pattern derivation can provide the design storm process for the design of urban drainage system and urban flood control and elimating flood planning in Hefei City.
