Control over Nature:The First Logic of the Ecological Marxism
Control over nature has been a pivotal theme within the rationalist tradition since the modern era.Starting from this premise,the Frankfurt School analyzes its developing logic and practical implications and asserts that control over nature is inseparable from control over individuals.Some thinkers consider this conflating abstract and emphasize that attention should be paid to the relationships between individuals,society,and nature in concrete social practices.Along this line of thinking,the important thing is how to enter into the specific un-folding of capital logic to reveal the ecological problems.However,the Frankfurt School's discussion emphasi-zes the cultural and metaphysical dimensions too much to delve deeply into the intrinsic relationship between capital logic and ecology.Some scholars have approached this issue from the conditions of capitalist produc-tion,giving rise to an alternative logic within Ecological Marxism.
