摘要
新唯物主义主张在物—人互构中关注物的能动性,从而解决了此前拉图尔行动者网络理论不能说明物的能动性从何而来的问题.将新唯物主义引入城市传播研究,既弥补了建立在人类中心主义立场上城市传播研究"再现"和"表征"两大传统的共同缺失,又突破了该领域既有物质性研究的不足.以"能动性"和"内在作用"为基础,对杭州市城市大脑展开经验分析,通过还原城市大脑嵌入城市传播的历史过程和社会情境,揭示了在城市治理智慧化物质—话语实践下智能机器如何具有能动性,以及人机如何在纠缠、互构中形成人机融合的特定实体.最后,研究指出,需要警惕人机互动生成的城市作为"超机器"可能引发的灾难性后果.
Abstract
New materialism advocates paying attention to the agency of objects in the relationship between objects and humans.Introducing it into city communication research fills the common shortcoming in the two tradition-al approaches of"reproduction"and"representation"in city communication research based on anthropocen-trism and breaks through the absence of material research in city communication research.Based on the con-ceptions of"agency"and"intra-action",this article conducts an empirical analysis of the city brain in Hang-zhou.By restoring the historical process and social context of embedding city brain into city communication,this article reveals how intelligent machines obtain agency under the material-discursive practice of intelligent city governance,how human-machine convergence forms specific entities in entanglement and intra-action and finally points out that it is necessary to be vigilant about the catastrophic consequences which the city may cause as"hypermachine"in the intra-action between human and machine.
