Dialect Differences,Cultural Identity, and Subjective Well-Being of Mobile Population:The Influence of Language on Common Prosperity of Spiritual Life
As an important part of Chinese culture, dialect is closely related to cultural identity. The empirical evidence derived from the China Labor-Force Dynamics Survey indicates that the divergence of dialects leads to a decline in the mobile population's perception of the cultural identity of their destination, which,in turn, affects their subjective well-being.Consequently,promoting and popularizing the standard spoken and written Chinese language can effectively address the cultural identity challenges stemming from dialect differences and strengthen the consciousness of the Chinese national community. It is a critical path to the common prosperity of the mobile population's spiritual life and is of great significance to realize the Chinese path to modernization that encompasses common prosperity for everyone.
