A Research on the Integration Development of Specialized Markets and Cross-border E-commerce Based on VAR Model
How to deal with the impact of e-commerce on the specialized markets is a practical issue that has attracted widespread attention in the past two decades. The two new types of commercial mode named cross-border e-commerce and market procurement have become new engines for high-quality development of China's foreign trade, and the relationship between specialized markets and cross-border e-commerce has moved from shock response to integrated development.Yiwu City in Zhejiang Province is the forefront of reform in specialized markets and cross-border e-commerce.This article uses the time series data of Yiwu City from 2008 to 2022 to establish a vector auto regressive model(VAR)to quantitatively analyze the integration-development relationship between specialized markets and cross-border e-commerce.The results show that the specialized market ecosystem is conducive to the"embedded"development of cross-border e-commerce,and the continuous reform of the specialized markets has effectively responded to the impact of cross-border e-commerce,but the integration development of the two commercial modes still lacks significant effects and long-term mechanisms. In order to further promote the integration development, the specialized markets should established a platform to integrate the trade entities of cross-border e-commerce,superimpose business flow and information flow to drive industrial transformation and upgrading, and apply the import trade supply chain and supporting policies to cross-border e-commerce.
