A Study on Pretreatment and Physicochemical Properties of Ash Residue from Incineration of Domestic Refuse
In order to increase the resource utilization of ash residue from incineration of domestic refuse, the pretreatment technology and physicochemical properties were studied experimentally.By using the pretreatment technology of sorting, desalting, drying and screening, the ash residue was screened into granular ash with particle size>0.15 mm and powdered ash with particle size≤0.15mm.Then,the radioactive and heavy metal leaching safety indexes of ash residue were tested, the physical properties such as particle morphology, apparent density and water absorption of granular ash residue and powdered ash residue were tested, and chemical properties such as chemical elements, mineral composition,pH and activity indexes were analyzed. It is found that the safety of ash meets the requirements of relevant standards. The physical and chemical properties of granular ash and powdered ash are similar to those of ceramic sand and fly ash respectively. It is theoretically feasible to develop and produce ceramic aerated concrete blocks by incinerating ash from domestic refuse. Therefore,we can explore a new way of resource utilization of domestic refuse incineration ash.
